The disruption and discomfort of being de-programmed is exactly when we should be listening for the voice of God. The Church in Sardis, had gotten comfortable and needed a wake up call from Jesus, calling them back to an understanding of the basics of Christian life and faith. Jesus had to disrupt the church.
