King Herod's unwillingness to follow his conscience led to the death of his conscience. If we choose to ignore our conscience, we too will experience the death of our conscience. There are two steps in the death of a conscience,

1. Give mental assent to it without obedience to it.

2. Out of pride and fear of man, choose to act against it.
