On August 25, 2001, Aaliyah, a rising star in R&B and pop music, tragically lost her life in a plane crash in the Bahamas. The singer, known for hits like "Try Again" and "One in a Million," had just finished filming the music video for her single "Rock the Boat" on the island of Abaco. After wrapping up the shoot, she and her crew boarded a twin-engine Cessna 402B for the return flight to Miami.
