In today's episode, I reflect on the disappearance of Gabrielle Petito and what survivors of domestic abuse want you to know. Today marks the first day of Domestic Violence Awareness month. 

*Side note* These dynamics are extremely complex and for the sake of time, I could not get into how the criminal justice system has continued to epically fail domestic violence victims, especially people of color. The legal system is fundamentally set up to fail black, brown & indigenous people.
