Having taught a course on starting a business for 12 years, one of the greatest changes has been the decline in business plans. Why are people afraid of them? Why have they fallen out of favor?

  1. The business plan itself became a goal - like writing a term paper - rather than a process. 
  2. People are afraid of what their research might mean for the business (maybe they are not ready, maybe the market now well defined).

    3. By acknowledging these factors, we can come up with a useful - and usable document to help your business.
