On todays Bible Answer Man broadcast, Hank details the Didache, something that Marcellino DAmbrosio devotes a chapter to in his book When the Church Was Young. The Didache is a document that has long been in use prior to the first half of the second century. As a catechism, the Didache provides instructions on everything from adultery to abortion. It contains the earliest indication in Christian literature that the murder forbidden by the fifth commandment includes the murder of abortion. In addition, as an instructional manual for worship, the Didache provides directions for sacred traditions of the Church ranging from baptism to prayer.
