Luke 5:27-32

In the time of Jesus, your family or group was central to your identity and participation in the community. Your people determined if you were considered dirty or clean.

Jesus came to inaugurate the upside kingdom where boundaries around tribe or racial divides were cut down.

In 2016 their is great racial and religious tension and fear surrounding the stranger and the foreigner. Who are we keeping to keep out that Jesus is trying to invite in?
