Laurel had been diagnosed with Lupus at the young age of 16, and she had her struggles with it.

However, she continued to persevere and be a friend to so many, including a 'best friend' to her mother, Lauretta.

In 2010, at age 28, Laurel was living in Port Orange, Florida. She left one evening to spend time with friends, and never returned home. She stopped answering her phone, and there was virtually no sign of Laurel anywhere.

Some have said that her friends have been less than cooperative, and believe that they may know more about Laurel's disappearance than they have said.

But Laurel remains missing, and clues are few and far between.
