BROOKLYN, NEW YORK: Patrick Alford Jr. took the trash out one evening, walking out of his apartment door and to the trash chute at the end of his hallway. A few moments after stepping out of his apartment, Patrick was gone.

It was January of 2010, and Patrick was just 7 years old.

Patrick had been miserable since he was put into foster care three weeks earlier.

Many think he ran away, as he had been talking about doing.

Others think he was kidnapped.

And some think he met with foul play.
