There is a war between God and man.
But, through His blood, Jesus alone is sufficient and worthy to reconcile man with God.
Cross Radio Episode 41 | TDN Chapter 5: Jesus is Enough
“for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God put forward as a propitiation by his blood, to be received by faith. This was to show God's righteousness, because in his divine forbearance he had passed over former sins. It was to show his righteousness at the present time, so that he might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.
- Romans 3:23-26 (ESV)
Today, we will study deep-sounding words with the purpose of not trying to sound smart but to really plumb into the joyous riches of His Word, enjoying HIS grace and truth. These three words are “JUSTIFICATION”, “REDEMPTION” and “PROPITIATION”. These are essentials in order for us to understand why Jesus is enough and what difference does it make for you and me.
“At the end of the day, we sing this with everything we have:
Your blood has washed away my sin
Jesus, thank You
The Father's wrath completely satisfied
Jesus, thank You
Once Your enemy, now seated at Your table
Jesus, thank You”
(Jesus, Thank You by Bob Kauflin/Sovereign Grace Music)
