Elinor and Theophilus Ravenhurst story
"The Disgraceful Mr. Ravenhurst" by Louise Allen 2009
Elinor Ravenhurst and Theophilus Ravenhurst Story.
This story starts out in Vezelay, Burgundy. Elinor was examining and sketching the pictures in the once great basilica when she backed into something solid, large and obviously male. After speaking to him for a few minutes she realized that there is something vaguely familiar about him. For some unknown reason and very unlike her, she invites him back to their lodgings to meet her mama. Upon entering the house her mother, lady James, looks up and says "Theophilus". This is her cousin Theo.
She felt a bit disappointed... He was not an intriguing stranger but one of the Ravenhurst clan. A relative... He would probably treat her like they all did... as mama's bluestocking assistant.
Cousin Theo explained to her mama that he was earning his living in trade and his business was flourishing.
He told Lady James that he lived in St. Pere and with that information, Lady James told him he could be useful. He could escort Elinor to St. Pere as she needed to make sketches of a church there.
Poor little drab Elinor was always at her mother's beck and call. Theo decided to give her a little adventure but finds she is really a jewel under that drab appearance. He puts his aunt and cousin into a dangerous situation but finds that Elinor has talents he can only imagine. He encourages Elinor to come out of her drab-shell.
Hope you all enjoy Elinor's story. Happy Reading!
