Series Title: Community in Christ
Series Summary: At the heart of every human being is a longing to belong. That desire isn't accidental, it's rooted in the very nature of God. We were created by the Lord who eternally exists as one God in a perfect community of three persons. Because we bear His image, we are wired for relationship.
Drawing from Scripture, we see that Christian community is a group of believers united to Christ and to one another by the Holy Spirit, living out their faith for the good of each other and the world. Drawing on some sociological insights, we see that we experience community differently depending on the size and shape of the relationships we're in. Considering both, we see what it means to pursue community together.
Passages: John 14:16-21; 17:20-26
Speaker: Omar Ortiz
In the first sermon of our community series, we will look at the Trinitarian foundations of community.
