Every Custodian remembers their first case. Newly recruited Custodians Gary, Pearl, Lune, and Sisna are dispatched by B.I.A.S.E.D. to the rural town of Weft to investigate reports of a stray angel known only as "Mother." Whether they’re ready or willing hardly matters. But with four very different loyalties—and four hungry gods of their own—the team's first assignment threatens to unravel before it even begins.
