The impasse in Washington has left forex investors unsure which way to turn, as they weigh the effects of the government shutdown against the prospects for a delay in tapering. FT currencies correspondent Delphine Strauss is joined by Ian Stannard, foreign currency strategist at Morgan Stanley to discuss how the market will handle the uncertainties, and how much longer we can expect strength in the euro and sterling to continue.
