When we read about Babylon the Great, we might picture an actual city. There will probably be a literal centralized place for the world's government in the end times. It may even be called Babylon and sit on the ancient site of Babylon. However, Babylon the Great is better understood as a worldwide system of organized religion and government, agreed upon by many nations, unified in common rebellion against the worship and will of God. It is a unified, recognized, mandated, evil world system that will be captured and controlled by the Antichrist during the last days before Jesus' return. The anti-god religious system that began in Gen 11 will become fully implemented in the tribulation. This episode details that system and its demise.
