At the moment where the Pharisees and people disputed if Jesus was the Messiah, he goes on to make a bold claim in their midst saying he is the only approved access to salvation. And right after that he also declares himself to be the Good Shephard who lays down his life for the sheep. If Salvation can only come through Jesus, how do we confirm the right 'Jesus' to believe in? And what is the implication of him the Good Shephard laying his life for us?
