Good Post WWII series
Very good story, well told. This author does a good job with period stories - undoubtedly does copious historic research and is able to put in details that enhance the telling of the story and are authentic. His characterizations and dialogue are good. I have read and enjoyed several of his other series as well.
Not his best...
Disappointing, dragging book. Not much to say about this book since it did not meet Macdonald's other delightful reads. Boring.
The Dower House
I could not get very far with this book, gave up after a few chapters. Was not good at all and cannot believe it is by the same author as
"The Stevenson Family Saga" books which I read all four and wish there were more.
