This morning we get at least ankle deep into the language and figures that are familiar to many of us when we think of Revelation and the terrifying visions of the Apostle. Despite the terror of it all, Christ is revealing things that are to give the Church hope, illustrating His glory, power, and presence over all things. Christ is King and with His transcendent power comes a new age of righteous power at work resulting in the downfall of the enemy of the Church, as well as the Church's expansion throughout the whole world. The Church has brought forth the Messiah, according to the Father's promise, and He has crushed and will contiunct to conquer every corner where Satan once laid claim.
