The Dreamcast has its very own Holiday classic, and it's called Blue Stinger. Regulars Brian, Harvey and Lewis are joined by friend of the Junkyard Dominic (Dreamcast Enjoyer on YouTube), to talk all about this misunderstood (and absolutely nuts) Dreamcast launch title that features crazy weapons found in vending machines, an acid trip of a Christmas department store, and Dogs Bower.

As a gift to our incredible listeners, keep an ear out for a very special appearance by the voice of Eliot Ballade (and original video game voice of Sonic the Hedgehog!) Ryan Drummond.

This episode was as inevitable as a blue Dreamcast case with its hinges broken off. Of course the Junkyard was going to record an episode to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the SEGA Dreamcast's October 14th 1999 launch in PAL regions! Blue swirl for life, mate.

In fact, celebrating this occasion was so important that we even managed to convince Junkyard founder Tom Charnock to emerge from his coffin and host the damn thing. Listen in as Tom, James, Andrew and Lewis share their memories of the Dreamcast, and provide a retrospective on the highs and lows (looking at you, Australian launch!) of the Dreamcast's venture into Europe and other PAL regions. There's also one of James' 10-questions quizzes to wrap up the episode... but will Tom, Andrew and Lewis fare better at the quiz than OziSoft did at launching the Dreamcast Down Under?

It's been 25 years since that iconic date of 9.9.99 - the North American launch of SEGA's final home console, the Dreamcast. Regular hosts Brian and Lewis are joined by special guests Derek Alexander (of the excellent Stop Skeletons from Fighting YouTube channel), and Brian's fiancé Katie, to hear them recount their earliest memories of owning the Dreamcast, and which games stood out to them the most. In the most exciting crossover since Jay-Z and Linkin Park did Collision Course, Brian and Lewis are joined by two stalwarts of both the Sega Saturn and Dreamcast community: SaturnDave and Patrick (TraynoCo) of SEGA SATURN, SHIRO!

SHIRO! originally started in 2017 as a podcast dedicated to the Saturn, but has since grown into a website, YouTube channel and community dedicated to spreading the love of Sega's misunderstood 32-bit wonder, and later the Dreamcast. In this episode, we go into detail about SHIRO!'s origins, the present and future of the Saturn, the strengths and similarities of both consoles, and much much more. We also put SHIRO! on the spot and ask them to name their top three Dreamcast titles.
