Have you ever heard of the following mental disorders: reading disorder, disorder of written expression, mathematics disorder, caffeine intoxication, or nicotine withdrawal disorder? Believe it or not, these are just a few of the 374 mental disorders that are listed in the current edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-IV). Now, there's a 5th edition being worked on, due out in 2013. Some of the disorders being considered for this new version include binge eating, temper dysregulation disorder, and psychosis risk syndrome.
