Easter Joy Homily – Ants, Worms, & Eggs

This isn’t your grandma’s Easter homily… unless your grandma is extremely cool!

This Easter, we’re diving into the Resurrection using three words we absolutely did not expect in church: ants, worms, and eggs.

Yes… ants. We’re zooming out from a comic strip all the way to the cosmos to remind ourselves just how tiny we are — and how wild it is that Jesus chose to become one of us anyway. Spoiler: if you’ve ever felt like an ant trying to understand the universe, this episode is for you.

Then we’re wriggling straight into worms — thanks to Bishop Fulton Sheen and one very honest seventh‑grader who responded to theology with a heartfelt “Ew!” We’ll explore why the Incarnation is far more shocking (and far more loving) than we usually let ourselves imagine.

And finally… eggs. Not the chocolate kind — the “are you spiritually fresh or spiritually hard‑boiled?” kind. Because nothing says “He is risen” like a metaphor that makes you rethink your omelets.

We’re talking Ho‑Hum faith versus Oh‑My faith. We’re talking fifty days of Easter wonder. We’re talking about letting the Resurrection crack open your life the way a chick cracks open a shell.

If you’re ready for an Easter message that’s equal parts hilarious, heartfelt, and holy — tune in.
