In a departure from our usual content, this week the Brewin Podcast covers ‘Terrorist Financing’. Supplying the expert opinion is Loretta Napoleoni, a bestselling author on the subject, and adviser to several governments on counter-terrorist measures and money laundering. The thrust of the conversation covers the financing of terrorism but Loretta also articulates her vision to bring about stability to the Syrian region. However, Loretta also believes her proposed strategy is some distance from the current policy agenda, and that the continuation of the refugee crisis leaves the current European ‘leadership’ looking increasingly vulnerable.
The conversations remind us of the David Miliband podcast hosted last November, where again the Middle East dominated the discussions. Click here to listen.
