The Edmonton Oilers decided it was time to make a change yesterday despite beating the Seattle Kraken 4-1 on Saturday night. Jay Woodcroft and his assistant coach Dave Manson, were relieved of their duties and replaced by Kris Knoblauch and Paul Coffey. Woodcroft leaves the Oilers with a 3-9-1 record this season; however, he has the best win percentage of all time by an Oilers coach. Stay in Alberta, Nikita Zadorov submitted a trade request to the Calgary Flames. Zadorov is one of many pending unrestricted free agents for the Flames this season, making life difficult for their new general manager, Craig Conroy. Should the Flames begin their rebuild, or is there still a way to get everything trending in the right direction with the same players?  Also on the show, Jason Gregor and Frank Seravalli discuss the Washington Capitals 7-4-1 start, the New Jersey Devils life without Jack Hughes and Nico Hischier, and finally, the Toronto Maple Leafs and the NHL Global Series.  0:00 - Edmonton Oilers hire Kris Knoblauch 19:00 - Fill in the Blank delivered by DoorDash 29:00 - Generous Guy presented by Crown Royal 33:20 - Nikita Zadorov's trade request 39:00 - Washington Capitals hot start 42:30 - New Jersey Devils without Hughes/Hischier 44:00 - Pittsburgh Penguins starting to roll 48:00 - Toronto Maple Leafs and Global Series 52:00 - Neck Guard Update Want to hear more from Frank, Jason and the entire DFO team?
