This is the first episode of Mi Valle, Mi Vida and in it we look into a dark chapter in the history of the South Texas border region known as the Rio Grande Valley, known to the residents of the time as "La Matanza" (the killing). In which Mexicans and Mexican Americans were lynched and run off from their lands by the Texas Rangers. This episode tells that story and how it connects to the current protests against "state-sponsored" violence.
