This first episode explores the origins of both the word and conceptualization of the human ego as first coined by Sigmund Freud and what it has come to be understood as in modern times within pop culture. Throughout the podcast's series we will explore the different functions of the id, ego, and superego, and use them as a general reference when exploring mechanisms for self-improvement, growth, and enhancing mindset skills. It is my hope that through this podcast we might reframe our understanding of the role our ego plays in our personality and how it impacts our life decisions.
