In many spaces, people repeat that the ego is the enemy, the root of suffering, the barrier that prevents awakening. They talk about destroying it as if it were a toxin that must be eliminated. But that position, even if it sounds intense, is not always clear-sighted. Because the ego is not an accident. It is a necessary structure that allows the human experience to hold together.
