In this episode of the US Daily Podcast Stevie and Christian discuss the election of 1912. This was an election between William Howard taft, Theodore Roosevelt, Woodrow Wilson and Eugene Debs. After Roosevelt wasn't able to win the nomination for the Republican candidate he created his own party, “The Progressive Party” and ran against his old friend, Taft. This caused a split in the republican votes and allowed the only Democrat, Woodrow Wilson to win the election, which greatly affected American history.
