Jack Weatherwax earned his living as an electrician. His nephew Bob says that Jack was a genius when it came to anything electrical. Wiring was his specialty.

Jack, however, had a sideline that would endear him to animal-lovers for all time. Not only did he train Judy Garland’s dog, Toto, in Wizard of Oz, but also Kim Novak’s cat in Bell, Book & Candle.
