The Alaska Municipal League represents 165 municipalities in Alaska, covering over 97% of residents. The organization was founded in 1950 as the League of Alaska Cities. The purpose of the organization is to safeguard the interests, rights, and privileges of Alaska’s municipalities.

On February 19, the House and Senate Education Committees will hold a joint meeting to hear from participants in the 2025 AML Winter Legislative Conference, which will run from February 18-20 at Centennial Hall in Juneau.
