What if encouragement is more important than we realize?
Most of us think of encouragement as saying something kind, lifting someone's spirits, or helping someone through a difficult day. But Scripture reveals that encouragement serves a much deeper purpose.
In Hebrews 3:12–13, we're instructed to encourage one another daily so that none of us becomes hardened by sin's deception.
That's a powerful connection we don't often talk about.
In this episode of The Encouragement Experiment, Michael explores why biblical encouragement matters, how discouragement can distort what we believe about God, and why we were never meant to walk through life alone.
We'll talk about:
Here's what I hope you remember today:
Your circumstances are not the final authority on God's character. His Word is.
Whether you're walking through a difficult season or know someone who is, I hope this conversation reminds you that God is faithful and that you don't have to walk through life alone.
Scripture referenced: Hebrews 3:12–14, Romans 12:15, Lamentations 3:22–23.

What if encouragement is more than simply making someone feel better? What if it actually plays a role in protecting our hearts and strengthening our faith?
In Hebrews 3:12–13, Scripture connects daily encouragement with something incredibly serious: the deceitfulness of sin.
That’s a connection we don’t often give enough attention.
In this episode of The Encouragement Experiment, Michael explores why encouragement is more than kind words, how sin’s deception can gradually harden our hearts, and why God calls us to encourage one another daily.
We’ll discover that biblical encouragement isn’t about ignoring life’s difficulties or pretending everything is okay. It’s about reminding one another of God’s truth and faithfulness, especially when life makes trusting Him difficult.
Encouragement isn’t just about helping someone have a better day. It’s about helping someone hold on to what’s true when life tempts them to believe something else.
Whether you’re someone who needs encouragement today or someone who has an opportunity to encourage another person, this episode is for you.

The dependable one. The problem solver. The person everyone counts on.
But what happens when you’re the one who’s exhausted?
In this episode of The Encouragement Experiment, we’re looking at 2 Corinthians 12:8–10 and the powerful reminder God gave the apostle Paul: “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is perfected in weakness.”
Sometimes we convince ourselves that having strong faith means we shouldn’t struggle. But Scripture reminds us that weakness doesn’t disqualify us from experiencing God’s strength.
If you’ve been carrying a lot lately, feeling overwhelmed, or struggling to admit that you’re tired, this episode is for you.
You don’t have to pretend you’re strong enough for everything. God’s grace is sufficient, even when your strength isn’t.
Scripture: 2 Corinthians 12:8–10 (CSB)

Have you ever stepped away from something important and struggled to find the courage to begin again?
Maybe life got busy, you lost motivation, or you’ve been discouraged by how far behind you feel. Sometimes starting again can feel harder than starting the first time.
In this episode of The Encouragement Experiment, we’re talking about finding the courage to take that next step—not because we have everything figured out, but because our hope rests in God’s faithfulness.
Through Lamentations 3:21–24 and Philippians 3:12–14, we’ll discover that our past disappointments don’t have to determine our next steps.
Here’s your encouragement today: Your hope isn’t that tomorrow you’ll finally get everything right. Your hope is that the God who has been faithful will still be faithful tomorrow.
If this episode encourages you, share it with someone who might need that same reminder.

What if the interruption you’re frustrated by is actually an invitation from God?
In this first message of the Interruption Series, Michael dives into Mark 5 and the powerful moment when Jesus is interrupted on His way to heal a dying girl—and still stops to restore a woman who had suffered for twelve years.
This short video of encouragement reminds us that in God’s hands, interruptions aren’t obstacles—they’re opportunities for grace, growth, and purpose.
Key Takeaways:
• Interruptions can be divine invitations
• God uses detours to display His power and love
• Availability always comes before assignment

Main Idea: Every interruption in the hands of Jesus becomes an intervention of grace.
What if the loudest voice in your life isn’t truth… it’s insecurity?
In Episode 1 of The Encouragement Experiment, Michael opens up about a life group conversation that revealed just how many people quietly struggle with insecurity, comparison, fear of failure, and feeling like they’re not enough.
