This is the great hope that sustained first-century Christians, who saw themselves as followers of "the Way," devoted to Jesus, the Messiah and King ushering in a new kingdom. Despite persecution and hardship, their immersion in God’s love / strength of His Spirit gave them the ability to endure.

This same Spirit carries us through difficulties today, offering hope.

Prayer:Father in Heaven, thank You for revealing Your love through Jesus. Whether we’re new to faith or have walked with You for years, let us experience the depth of Your love, the power of Your Holy Spirit, and the joy of this day. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
