Time is limited for living out Christ’s victory over sin and death because the end of all things is at hand. Peter’s focus in these verses turns to how Christians are to live with one another in community. We are to redeem the precious time remaining in love and service to one another. The power to do so is through prayer; the tasks are constant love for one another, Christian fellowship in our homes, and stewarding our spiritual gifts in service to the church. Peter concludes with a beautiful doxology of purpose.
