And it is conflict which fortifies the darkness because darkness gets all its power through opposition. We push against it, and it is empowered. Any aggression or force we put in its direction will come back at us amplified, because evil has a ferocious rage that cannot be matched, and if we try to match it we ourselves become tainted by hatred, and find ourselves involved in the bitterest of conflicts which only produces more suffering. The only thing that evil does not have is Love. This is the immense and indefeatable power of the good, and it conquers everything else, without exception. When love surrounds evil, it is like the entire ocean pouring itself upon a great fire. The fire may be big, but the ocean is truly vast and powerful in a way that evil can never be. But if you try to fight fire with fire, only the fire will win.
