The Conjuring 2 is based upon the Enfield Poltergeist case.  This episode goes into detail about the movie the Conjuring 2, about Ed and Lorraine Warren and how Hollywood differs from the real investigation of the Enfield case in 1977.  In the Conjuring 2, Ed and Lorraine Warren head to London on behalf of the church to document the happenings for a possible exorcism.  In real life, the investigators at 284 Green Street were from The Psychical Research team, Guy Lyon Playfair and Maurice Grosse.  According to interviews later, the Warrens were there, they "popped in" for one day, uninvited, and their involvement in this case is greatly exaggerated in the Conjuring 2 movie.  Ultimately, it's the story of the Hodgson family and the ordeal they went through living at 284 Green Street in North London.  It's terrifying.  And made for Hollywood or not, the Conjuring 2 is a terrifying movie as well.  Start your haunted October off with a watch and a listen.  It's a good movie and today's podcast, "The Enfield Conjuring" is pretty creepy as well!  Be Petrified.
