The Enneagram in Relationships: Type Three - Loved Without Performing

Listen Later

This week we’re beginning our Enneagram in Relationships series with a look at Type Three — The Achiever or Performer.

If you’re a Three, or if you love someone who is, this type is a natural achiever. They know how to read a room, rise to expectations, and get things done. They are often admired for their confidence, productivity, and leadership—and many Threes have been praised for their accomplishments from a very young age.

Core Desire: Feeling valuable and admired—to know their life matters

Core Fear: Being worthless, unsuccessful, or unseen.

Core Longing: “You are loved for simply being you.”

In this week’s episode we learn more about Type Three’s, how they navigate relationships and I share a few practical ways to better communicate with, support, and lead a Type Three.

Whether you love, work with, or lead a Type Three you will appreciate the efficiency and momentum they bring and clarity to relationships and teams. Threes are your go to when you need something done or when you need a cheerleader to meet a deadline.
