The Epic Bedhead Saga

Timmy was starting to understand just how difficult it could be, having friends.

He was not at all prepared to deal with all the complicated emotions that had followed Constance, and apparently Garren, into their shared dream.

So he did what he knew Grandma would want him to do.

Listen. Feel. Help.

As Timmy, Zorah, and Constance looked upon the final member of The Archivers, sitting sadly, curled into himself, they prepared to help Garren through whatever it was that was troubling him.

This had been, without a doubt, the best week of Timmy Jorgensen's life.

Finally, he had managed to make new friends, and even (started to) convince them how important their dreams were! He was finally a part of something important. Something real.

He was... An Archiver.

And that meant helping his friends when they were in trouble, because that's what The Archivers do.

As Constance lays her head on her pillow, fully unprepared for whatever this "dream experiment" is about to bring, she does her best to put her thoroughly unpleasant day behind her and focus on her mission.

Fall asleep with the feather shard on her pillow. Collect data about what happens in her dreams. Definitely ignore everything that had just happened this evening between Mom and Dad.

Unfortunately for Constance, dreams often have a way of not letting you forget the things you seek to let go of...

Constance had just experienced, without a single doubt, the most confusing (and frustrating) two days of school of her lifetime. First she ended up lumped into the "weird" group for her semester-long project, and now that group was proving just how weird they truly were.

But regardless of how weird things had gotten, Constance had to at least admit the possibility that something real was going on. She had, after all, found the same metallic bird feather piece in her hair as Timmy that morning. That couldn't have been a mere coincidence, could it? It seemed impossible.

Tonight was the night she would find out, once and for all...

But first she had to get through dinner with her Mother and Father. As of late, that was not a terribly pleasant prospect.

Garren was completely perplexed by the weirdness that Zorah and Timmy had been showing since class yesterday. First, the... hair nuts? Now secret hallway-conversations while class was supposed to be happening?

Something weird was definitely going on.

Garren had no idea just how weird things were about to get...

Zorah woke up from her dream with Filbert and his magical carnival in complete amazement. Had Timmy and Hushglow truly been there with her? Or had her mind just inserted copies of them there as some kind of way to process everything that had gone on during the first day of school?

The answer had the potential to change everything, forever.

And the only way to find out was to meet with Timmy before class and share passwords...

The first day of seventh grade had most certainly not worked out the way Zorah had envisioned. She had ended the day by making a "dream pact" with the kid from class who cites Wombat poop facts like he's talking about what he ate for breakfast.

The past week had already been crazy enough as it is, but now... this?!

We now find Zorah as she winds down from her whirlwind first day of school and prepares to take part in Timmy's "Dream Experiment."

Will they find each other inside their dreams?

As the group of four wildly mismatched twelve year olds finally began to settle into shape, they quickly found themselves with two big problems.

One: how will they come together as a team and create an "A-worthy" group presentation?

And (perhaps the biggest problem yet)

Two: how will Zorah and Timmy reconcile the fact that they both randomly woke up with a nut from Brazil tangled in their hair?

What did this mean? Was there a logical explanation?

Zorah and Timmy may have to go to extreme(ly ridiculous) lengths to find out...

Zorah Shepard had absolutely no idea what to expect when she was grouped up with Timmy Jorgensen, Constance Lawson, and Garren Anderson for a semester long group project. All she did know was that there wasn't much of a possibility that anyone except for Constance would have much of a say in it.

Little did they all know that fate and destiny already had the perfect topic ready for them: Dreams.

Now four of the most unlikely teammates must navigate a group project that turns into something more.

Much more...

From the moment her new Language Arts teacher Mrs. McDermott announced a semester long group project on the first day of seventh grade, Zorah had it all planned out: an easy, drama-free group project about the many benefits of eating cake. Simple. Fun. Zero complications.

Then Mrs. McDermott decides to have the entire class draw numbers out of a Dr. Seuss hat to assign groups, and Zorah discovers that she's landed in the exact group she had desperately hoped to avoid.

This is the story of the Cake Gang that never got the chance to exist, and the far messier, far more interesting group that took its place.

Little do the four unlikely members of this new group know that this project would completely change their lives... forever.
