Nance Mize shares her perspective on the ten years it took to open up the doors of the Student Recreation Center at ECU. The SRC opened it's doors to students in 1997, its grand opening came with many challenges. The SRC has recently been renamed to honor Richard R. Eakin and his wife, JoAnn. Eakin was ECU's fourth chancellor and played a major role in adding the SRC on campus.
