Dr. Nelson is an Assistant Professor in the Center for Medical Ethics and Health Policy at Baylor College of Medicine. He also works as an ethics consultant at Houston Methodist, providing expertise over dilemmas and contributing to top-notch care even in the most unsteady of times for patients. He received his Ph.D. in philosophy from the University of Utah in 2019 and completed a clinical ethics fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine in 2021. Dr. Nelson’s research addresses the role of values in medical science and practice, with a particular focus on disability, psychiatry, and end-of-life care.
