In the story of Martha and Mary, recounted in Chapter 10 of the Gospel of Luke, Our Lord tells an anxious Martha, “There is need of only one thing. Mary has chosen the better part and it will not be taken from her.” How transformative it is for our lives when we turn aside from earthly cares and put the focus squarely on Christ.
