On this episode we look at JC Ryle’s last characteristic of what it means to be evangelical: the work of the Holy Spirit to bring forth good works within us so that we might love God and love our neighbor. A lot of times, talk about “good works” makes people feel uneasy, but as we’ll see today, there’s a deep and abiding promise of God that undergirds our activity and makes our good works a gift that God works within us, not the product of pressure, exhaustion, or weary striving.
