On Christmas Eve, we follow Santa on his journey as he descends upon one small, old town of Bishop Hollow - the hometown of the Brickels. We meet and get to know The Brickels as well as spend Christmas with all of them - well, almost all of them. There are two brothers named Peter and Jayson and they have a little dog Nealie. Their mom and dad cannot spend Christmas with them, so the boys spend Christmas with their lovable grandparents - Mama and Papa Brickel, along with Papa's hound dog, Newman, and all of Mama's cats.

A great Christmas book for every member of your family!
Our kids absolutely loved The Eve to Believe. Every night during the holiday season, I would read pages from the book to our children and, when the section came to an end, they asked if we could just go a few more pages because they were so excited to see what happened next. The Eve to Believe is the perfect Christmas gift for any kid, parent, or nostalgic person who longs for the personification of old-timer holiday spirit. Highly recommended!

Great Christmas story for kids--loved the tale and the illustrations are beautiful! A new "classic" in the making!
Terrific Christmas Story, AMAZING Illustrations
This book is GREAT. We bought it when the author came to our local library
to give a book talk.
We bought the book at 1pm. By 5pm, my 3rd grader had read the book once and
was starting on the 2nd reading. She LOVES the book, and especially loves the characters and their
illustrations.
She showed her school librarian, who ordered it for their collection.
A New Tradition
This is a fabulous story! The illustrations jump to life and we have come to know and love the Brickel family from Bishop Hollow. It is definitely going to be a Christmas Eve story time tradition for our family!
Holiday Classic!
This is a wonderful book! I love it! The illustrations are great and the story is adorable. My son really enjoyed this book too. I would love to read more stories about the Brickels!
