All the noise the party has made doesn't go unnoticed, and while following up on information about a mysterious meeting at the north wall an ambush is sprung on The Folly. After an intense fight, the Steel Snakes, the mercenary group hired to protect the town, come to investigate. Some words are exchanged, a cultist who the group left alive is detained, and they are led back to The People's Hall where the night's events can be worked out. While questioning the cultist with the Steel Snakes, Bear and Easy decide they can trust them and let them in on the true reason the party has come to Lessa.
