Although oral contraceptives were first introduced approximately 60 years ago, we continue our efforts today to identify new estrogens and progestins that improve cycle control while minimizing adverse events.

Today’s dialogue focuses on the evolution of estrogen in contraception, including newly combined oral contraceptives. Drs. Lee Shulman and Anita Nelson also discuss contraception innovations using E4 that are currently under investigation.
