Patricia is my friend from High School who just had her third baby and therefore started her 3rd breastfeeding journey. Every journey, from her first to her last, looked different and I liked her story as it showed how different each baby is and how many different factors play into the journey of breastfeeding.

We also went off on a bit of a tangent as Patricia is Venezuelan, who grew up in Miami and spent her recent years in Denmark and Norway. We talked a bit about the cultural differences and what it is like to raise children in Scandinavia – lots of independent learning apparently. We talked about how to raise children bilingually and the benefits exposure to different cultures can bring to child’s mental growth.

Patricia also suggested the book: The Power of Positive Parenting and I might just have to check this out myself.
