“The Experiencer” features a playful use of binaural recordings of Ch’Lu’s printer and a scribbling pencil on paper, fused with hypnotic Sanskrit vocals, classical guitar improvisation and electronic soundscapes. Taken from Ch'Lu's Arts Council & Help Musicians funded album "The Goddess Within" , it was entirely composed, performed, recorded, mixed and produced alone in her home studio.
“The Experiencer” focuses on the part of us that experiences each state of consciousness: all things originate from and dissolve back into this source. Using the ancient Sanskrit texts of the Mandukya Upanishads, which create the experience and journey of "Om", it is the ultimate Sound Medicine.
A polyglot polymath, Ch’Lu has been studying Sanskrit for the last thirteen years, alongside her teaching and practice of Vedic meditation, which fuels her drive to expand consciousness through creativity and performance. As a classical guitarist, singer, actress, linguist (13 languages) and martial artist, her creative vision is to fuse the ancient with the voice of the Zeitgeist, throwing in a contemporary edge, humour and the element of surprise.
