Galatians 5:11 says, "...the Lord is full of compassion & mercy." Colossians 3:12 says, "Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy & dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility gentleness & patience."There is an all out assault on compassion & mercy in our world today. Societal pressures stir up judgment instead of compassion. James 2:13 says, "For judgment will be merciless to one who has shown no mercy; MERCY TRIUMPHS OVER JUDGMENT."This message comes from a conversation that I had with the Lord 3 weeks ago...here is a brief summary: I was wathcing a video testimony of a man who was healed from esophageal cancer. As I watched, I began to cry & tell the Lord how much I wanted to see miracles, signs & wonders become common in my life & city. God then asked me this double-barreled question: "Why do you long to see these things? -----very short pause---- For you or for them?" This crushed me as I knew the answer. So, I repented & am daily asking the Lord to add to my life the Factor of Compassion.
