All glory to God—welcome to Season 2 of The Faith-Based Workplace Show.

Between Season 1 and now, God has graciously done a mighty work in me. My prayer is that His presence would breathe on this new season and that every conversation would bear lasting fruit—both personally and professionally. The journey here has included unexpected twists, stretching trials, and meaningful growth, which is why I begin this season with the topic: “Think It Not Strange.”

In our workplaces—whether corporate, entrepreneurial, ministry, or mission-driven, we often encounter conflict, resistance, disappointment, or pressure that feels personal and overwhelming. Through conversations with trusted leaders and fellow believers, a common truth has surfaced: trials and tribulations are not detours from the Christian journey; they're often part of it. Yet when workplace tension, opposition, or spiritual warfare arises, we don’t always recognize these moments as expected or purposeful.

In this episode, we unpack what Scripture means when it tells us to think it not strange (1 Peter 4:12). Ambition is one of the most well-known traits possessed by today’s professionals. Being driven and having a relentless mentality are often required attributes when you’re focused on conquering next-level territories within your profession or when you’re pursuing a new profession. The New Year has just begun and more than likely you now have a renewed desire to focus on accomplishing those things you didn’t do in the previous years. Things that were either never fulfilled or never seriously considered. The common concern that comes up when you’re in pursuit of conquering new milestones, is that those milestones come with risk-taking. So, how do you know if you’re taking risks that were placed to stretch and test your faith, or if you are falling prey to a potential derailment that was never meant for you? In today’s episode, we’ll sort through the differences between Taking Spirit-led Risks, versus those tempting derailments that can trip us up.
