King Saul had every opportunity to lead God’s people with obedience, but instead, he relied on his own strength, timing, and judgment. His partial obedience revealed a heart unwilling to fully surrender to God. We unpack how Saul’s failure reflects our own tendency to trust ourselves over God and why that never leads to peace. Most importantly, we’re reminded that no earthly king can save us, and that’s why we need Jesus. As parents, we reflect on how to model this kind of obedience and trust at home.
