Suddenly, when I looked in the mirror, I started to see Esha, and though I never thought she had looked like me, suddenly it was as if that was her—and of course, anytime I looked at Jimmy Fallon, there was Patrick—or at least enough of him that it made something into some sensible magic, though I tried not to look. Patrick was a mess all on his own, and had, more broadly than any of the characters taken his own being, and thoughtfully so, so had Esha—but as I began in my mind to wonder what she did look like, in passerby's on the street and on trying to imagine, it was almost as if I couldn't—then, and it was very suddenly, as it all kind of was now—looking into the mirror, it was as if my face was suddenly somehow beautiful, my hair pulled back and my eyes moon shaped and glittering.

“Hm”, I thought.
