The Far Lantern began as a little project for our family.
We wanted something to listen to at the end of the day. Interesting stories, told gently, that could carry us somewhere else for a while without demanding that we stay awake to hear the ending.
So we started making our own.
Stories about explorers, scientists, forgotten places, extraordinary discoveries, and ordinary people living through remarkable times. Sometimes there's a curious character, an unexpected friendship, or even a little scandal. History, after all, is full of people being people.
Meticulously crafted from human imagination, curiosity, love, and attention to detail.
Our narrator, Laurence, is an AI-generated voice we've carefully shaped to create the storytelling experience we'd always hoped to hear.
Eventually, we wondered whether other people might enjoy these stories too.
So here they are.
